Another great lunch place

Today for lunch we went to this really awesome Japanese Food Court / Grocery store. It's a place called Mitsuwa Marketplace located in Torrance. I have never been to a place like this! It's got a lovely food court area and a bunch of little shops around it that sell imported Japanese products. Then located at one end of the Plaza is a big Japanese grocery store where I found some yummy dried seaweed snacks.

If you're ever in Torrance you should check this place out.

Evening Walk

Yesterday was a real nice day for a walk so after work a few of us put on our walking shoes and walked along a real nice trail. After walking 2.5 miles we had a healthy dinner and called it a night. I had such a nice time; I can't wait to do it again.

Pablo enjoying Italy

It looks like Susana and Pablo are having a wonderful time in Italy together. Today I got more pictures from Susana from their tip and they should be coming home later next week. I can't wait to hear all the great stories they have to tell.

Trip to Exposition Park

Marco went fishing which gave me the opportunity to go explore LA on my own. I've wanted to do that for a while so I got in my car and drove down to LA to take some pictures. After that, I visited Exposition Park (which I haven't seen since I was 7) and had a great time taking pictures of the rose garden and museums. The best part about Exposition Park is that it only costs $6 to park and most of the museums are free.

Too see the pictures I took at Exposition Park go here.

Indian Food

Today I tried Indian food for the first time and loved it. I wasn't too excited about the idea at first since Indian food is known to be spicy but I thought what the hell. I ordered some real yummy chicken and rice which turned out to be a little spicy but was still super yummy. Thanks to Amanda and Jim for making me try something new.

Amanda's Flowers

As most you already know, I like taking pictures of flowers so when Amanda got these pretty flowers from Dave, I just had to take a picture of them.

New Glasses

Marco finally picked up his new glasses. The prescription isn't very high but they sure do make a difference. He just loves them, can't you tell? LoL! And just because he told me NOT to post any pictures of him wearing them, I knew I had to.

The L.A. County Fair

The L.A. County Fair turned out to be bigger than I expected. They had all kinds of stuff set up, but I think my favorite parts were the garden area and the barn yard area. Everything else was typical of a fair; rides that cost too much, food that leaves you feeling guilty the next day, and venders selling "As Seen on TV" items.

I did have a lot of fun in the barn yard area though. I stood in line with all the parents and their kids, purchased a $1 mini cup of pellets to feed the animals, and got attacked by a black goat that insisted I give him more food. LoL!

All-in-all, we had a nice time. It's a good idea to go if you haven't been to a fair in a while, but I do warn you, it's expensive.

Entry: $15/person
Parking: $8
Food: Way too much
Rides: Out of control

Go here to check out pictures I took at the fair.

Gaetano's of Torrance

Today for lunch we had a lovely meal at one of the yummiest Italian places around Torrance, Gaetano's. I enjoyed their spaghetti with sausage along with their delicious garlic cheese bread...yummmmm..my mouth is starting to water just thinking about it!

Other things that happened today:

- Said goodbye to Susana who will be leaving for Italy with Pablo on Sunday, and
- Worked a 10 hour shift, yucky.

Pablo in Granada, Spain

Pablo and Janeen returned from Spain today! Although there is only one picture to show that he was in there, it's an excellent one. Here's Pablo enjoying his Sangria looking down on the city of Granada from a palace across the valley. What a lucky monkey!

H2O Audio

Saw this at Fry's today...pretty cool huh?

Other things that happened this weekend:
- Girls got new catnip bubbles, and laser pointer toy,
- The girl’s water dispenser was replaced,
- My folks left for Texas for a week, and
- Marco and I finished watching season 4 of Trailer Park Boys. LoL...It's turning out to be the best show ever!

Angels vs. Blue Jays

Rose and I had a great time attending another Angels game. We had the wonderful roasted chicken at the buffet, ordered a fudge sundae with berries, and topped it off with cotton candy...What a way to enjoy the game! It was lots of fun even though the Angels didn't win this time.
Seen above it is the cute Rally Monkey Rose got for me. She's so sweet!

NOT Star Kitten

We finally got a chance to try Star Chicken a.k.a. NOT Star Kitten (a restaurant we always pass on our way to somewhere else). It smelled yummy inside but after trying their chicken wrap I wasn't as impressed. Hmmm...maybe next time I'll try something else.

Philip Vicente

Congrats to Susana's sister (Adriana) who gave birth to a lovely baby boy. Now little Diego has a new baby brother named Philip Vicente, aww... and Susana is an auntie once again! Yay!

Crikey No More

Aw-man, the Crocodile Hunter (Steve Irwin) died today. I guess it was just a matter of time since he was always messing with the craziest animals, but it's still very sad news to hear. According to CNN he was killed by a stingray barb that went through his chest, while filming an underwater documentary. Who would have thought that a stingray would bring him down instead of a crocodile?

Lunch @ P&O

A group of us had a real nice lunch at Pat & Oscar's to celebrate the end of another project well done. While taking a few pictures we feasted on chicken, ribs, pizza, and yummy breadsticks. I love P & O!
A special thanks to Amanda and our boss Dean for hooking us up with free lunch.
