Birthday Weekend!

It's been a while since I've written. With my thesis, classes, work, and other projects I just don't seem to have enough time anymore. This weekend is another busy weekend but in a good way...this weekend (Sunday) is my birthday...yeay! Although I'm going to be 27 I'm still looking forward to it. Saturday I'm going to be getting together with my family and Sunday I'm going to have a little party with friends. It's going to be awesome! But, before I could start having fun I need to finish up my 1 unit project. I'll write again after the party.

Megan's Party @ The Ritz

Today we worked Megan's batmitsfa at the Ritz-Carlton in Marina del Rey. It was nice 'cause I knew most of these kids from the previous party and they were all very cooperative. The food was amazing as always...We had the best strawberry smoothies and appetizers galore. I'm really starting to love this gig.

Zach's 25th

Today was Zachy's Birthday and a bunch of us from work went to Chili's to celebrate. It was fun! Here's a picture of Zach reading the card we all got for him...I think he was amused. After a great meal and yummy cake we all had to go back to work and school...blaah...it's ok though because it's Friday...Yeay! Happy 25th to Zachy!

Birthday Trip to Fry's

So today was Marco’s birthday and guess where he wanted to go? Yup…Fry’s! It’s amazing how guys flock to that place. Although the parking lot is a total disaster and half of it is blocked off guys still fill what’s left of it. Anyway with all that birthday money we just had to make a trip.

Marco's 32nd

Today we celebrated Marco's 32nd Birthday although it's not until Tuesday. He was so happy! Not only did he get an awesome dinner and cake, he also got the fishing reel he wanted and money. He really hit the jackpot this time. Happy Birthday to Marco!!

Barmitsfa Time

This weekend we worked another barmitsfa but this time it was pretty cool. They had a huge fruit spread and many other goodies. This time the kids were well behaved...somewhat...I guess it's because after a few parties you start to get to know the kids and they start to get to know you. The only disappointment of the evening was loosing an hour of our weekend.

It was nice going back to work and class today...although I did feel a little fatigued. It was a good day though. It's nice seeing everyone again. Tomorrow is going to suck a bit 'cause I'm stuck running subjects all day...bummer.

Being Sick Sucks!

This weekend was pretty uneventful since I've been sick for the past 4 days. Having the flu really sucks! I'm kind of glad that tomorrow's a busy day because I'm sick of sitting at home. Last night my bro and I had a gig in Beverly Hills which was cool 'cause it got me out for a while. I couldn't believe how crazy the traffic was on the 101 fwy in the middle of the day. It looks like there are way too many people in L.A. I think it's time to be moving out of here. We'll see what happens in the next few months.

Out-Of-Control Squirrels

As you could see the squirrels around campus are no longer phased by humans populating their area. Last semester while I was feasting on a yummy Krispy Kreme doughnut a squirrel came out of nowhere, snatched it from the table, and took off with it. Some nerve! No wonder these campus squirrels are so chubby.
Anyway, I needed a place to keep all of my favoriate URL's so I decided to start a new blog dedicated to URL storage. There's a link to it on this page. Feel free to check it out. I've also added a message board type function to this blog. Now you could leave me messages...Yeay!

Mom's New Toyota

After weeks of trying to repair my mom's old car, my dad finally gave in and got my mom a new car. My mom was so excited with her new car that she had to come by and take us for a test drive. It's a pretty sweet car! I can't wait until I get my high paying job so I could get myself something nice to drive around.

Alvin's Pete

Thursday a group of us went to grab some lunch on campus and on our way back to work Alvin found a sweet surprise on his shoulder. A little bug had found a home on his sweater and just hung out for a while. After taking a few pictures the little bug flew away. I did have enough time to name the little fellow "Pete" though.

Up, Up, and Away

Just recently Jason, Thomas, and I made an attempt to recruit new employees by attending the University's Career Fair. Although it was very tiring it was also great fun. The boys helped the Career Center by picking up all of the balloons left behind and that's when the real fun started. While our boss was in a meeting the boys sneaked into her office and filled it with balloons. The next day we all had fun popping balloons with mechanical pencils...ah the fun.

Robots

Today we went to see Robots. I didn't think it was going to be a very good movie but it turned out to be awesome. It was so cute! I totally loved it. I think that was about the most exciting thing I did all day since I spent the rest of my day running subjects for my thesis.

New Car 4 Miss Jess

...About a week and a half ago Miss Jess bought a beautiful new car and was kind enough to take me for a ride. It was awesome! If anyone deserves a new car it's her... she's worked so hard and will be graduating this June with her master's degree. Congrats to Jess on her new car!

R.I.P.

Today is the first time I post since my Princess (kitty) passed away on Feb. 26, 2005. I’ve just been in a funk since then and not real motivated to post anything. Now that over 2 weeks have passed I am feeling better and I think I’m back into the groove of things. Although I miss her terribly we must still go on. That’s about all I want to say about that.

It's Hailing!

Today was the weirdest day, it started out sunny and nice then all of the sudden there was lightning and hail...crazy! I'm so glad the day is over 'cause I'm tired. This weekend is going to be just as busy. I have to get prepared to run subjects next week and I have to finish QA testing a course I'm working on. *sigh* Maybe next weekend will be less hectic.

KTLA Morning News

Today I added another autographed picture to my collection when the KTLA morning news crew came to our school. It was pretty exciting. I've been watching the morning news on channel 5 since I could remember so it was kind of weird to see them live. Anyway, the rest of my collection is found here.

Bring your Umbrella to School Day

It was another rainy day and it looks like we might be breaking a 100 year old record. I can’t wait until the sun comes out again. This week has been nice since I don’t have the thesis defense pressure anymore. I do have to get back into the swing of things because I plan on running subjects starting next week.

Mandy

This weekend my parents brought me some of my high school pictures so I've started scanning them. I found this picture of Mandy and remembered hearing she was performing on Broadway now. I'm so proud of her! We all new she was something special.

Success!

Yes! It's finally over. The defense was a success and I'm feeling wonderful!! I should be running subjects within a week and that's just a hop-skip-and-a-jump away from graduation. I'm so happy!
